so yeah, this song is like.. kinda opera-ish la.. and i enjoy singing these songs.. haha.. funny how i don't find other people my age who enjoy these songs..
i remember the first person who shared the same interests with me in this ermm, rare genre of singing was my music teacher, Ms. Renee.. and she persuaded me to sing Vincent by Josh Groban during the skool's open day.. haha.. i think i did okay la on that day.. ahha.. maybe went a note off during the high ending part.. *bluek*
thinking back on that day.. i remember myself being like.. UBER nervous man.. haha.. i was so nervous i wanted to cancel the thing like 10 mins before time.. but i went with it... because my music teacher went and forced me la.. and she had to go in front of the audience and go fabricate my past to them.. and i quote: "Up next, we have one of the music club's student, Eric Wong, waiting to present to you a song called Vincent sung by Josh Groban. Now ladies and gentlemen, Eric came to this school when he was in Standard 1 and if you ask many of his teachers he was a very very shy boy.. and was very terrified to go on stage to perform. But 10 years later, we now have a different Eric, one who is confident enough to perform for you all here today. Eric? You're up.." as if i wasn't nervous enough, she HAD to go tell them that i'm now confident.. hahaha.. make me more pressure.. hahaha.. but it was all in good fun la.. hahaha..
anyways.. these few weeks, my trance lurrving self has been MIA la.. (Missing In Action) somehow went for a vacation somewhere without asking for leave.. hahahahaha.. and in it's absence, my emo and meaningful song lurrving side returned..
somehow, i feel like a special bond towards these songs.. like how i relate them to many of my past experiences.. it's like, when i hear EVERY single one of these songs i can think back to a certain period or a certain happening in my life.. be it in my relationships, or my friend's relationships, something wrong that i did..
